Kreston Reeves win Large Practice of the Year Award at Accounting Excellence Practice Awards.

Congratulations to UK firm Kreston Reeves, crowned the UK’s best large accountancy practice at the prestigious annual Accounting Excellence Practice Awards. The ceremony took place on 20 September at the Intercontinental Park Lane Hotel in London’s West End.
The awards aim to recognise and celebrate the finest in the profession by showcasing firms and individuals who are driving service standards to new heights.
The firm beat off tough competition from other firms from across the UK to the award. The judges gave Kreston Reeves the award in recognition of the firm’s impressive growth, its focus on first class client care, the processes the firm has put in place to ensure its clients receive only the best support and advice, and its dedication to its staff.

Duncan & Toplis win at British Accountancy Awards.

Kreston is pleased to announce that Kreston UK firm Duncan & Toplis has won the Outstanding Advisory or Client Project of the Year Award at the British Accountancy Awards 2018. Attended by over 800 guests from the industry, the ceremony took place last night at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London.
The British Accountancy Awards, run by Accountancy Age, are regarded as the industry’s most prestigious accolades, pinpointing professional development and highlighting those that have demonstrated excellence in their profession.
Duncan & Toplis were also nominated alongside fellow UK member, James Cowper Kreston for Mid-Tier Firm of the Year.
Managing Director of Duncan & Toplis and Chairman of Kreston UK, Adrian Reynolds said:

The client project was our involvement from inception to the opening of the International Bomber Command Centre in Lincoln. 2nd Future Leaders’ conference gains momentum.

Kreston held its second Future Leaders’ conference in London, attracting nearly 50 delegates from 12 countries.
Following a welcome reception at The Grange Tower Bridge Hotel, the conference opened with an introduction to Kreston by European Regional Director, Dagmar Brösztl-Reinsch from Kreston Bansbach. Dagmar gave attendees an overview of Kreston, its history and the vision for the future of the network and then recently appointed Kreston CEO, Liza Robbins introduced herself and offered an insight into the values and traits that are important when leading an international network.
The theme of the main business agenda, presented again by Tim Sayers from PDW Group, looked at leadership behaviours in the context of developing and leading high performing teams and the attributes needed to make the team a success. Through a range of activities, including breakout sessions, Tim and his team facilitated a great mix of coaching and professional acting and the event concluded when delegates presented their findings to the rest of the group.
Liza commented:
“It was excellent to welcome returning and new future leaders to this conference and to see them interactive so well with each other. Succession has been identified as among the top issues facing the accounting profession and I feel sure we will be in very capable hands over the coming years.”
Delegates then enjoyed street food and competitive crazy golf at Swingers Golf and a fun team building challenge at famous London attraction, The Crystal Maze Live Experience.

Kreston Denmark welcomes Liza Robbins to Regional Conference.

This year’s Kreston Denmark Conference was held in Helsingør, the port city in eastern Denmark famed for its 15th century Kronborg Castle, (immortalised as Elsinore in William Shakespeare’s play Hamlet).
Delegates, which included Kreston CEO Liza Robbins, were welcomed on 6th September with dinner and networking.
Commencing with the AGM, the business agenda included technical and practice management sessions which this year focused on strategies for development within the profession and technical tools and working papers. Kreston Chairman Bent Kofoed and Liza updated all on Kreston International strategy and Kreston Denmark also launched details of its new collaborative intranet platform.
Bent said:
“This was one of our best conferences to date. There was lots of energy and a great atmosphere amongst the 35 delegates. The new Kreston Denmark intranet platform was well received, and we owe our thanks to those in “Kreston Next Generation” who have worked hard on its development. I was pleased to welcome our new CEO Liza Robbins to the conference who immediately made many connections within the Danish group.”

Kreston China continues its strategy of growth at 2018 regional conference.
Kreston’s China conference took place at The Crowne Plaza Chengdu City Centre Hotel in Chengdu, the capital of China’s Sichuan province, attracting 73 delegates, including 9 from outside of the region.
The 4-day event commenced on 5th September with a welcome and networking dinner and after introductions from Chairman Xiao and Partner, Yin Wang, from host firm Huapu Tianjian CPAs LLP, Kreston Asia Pacific Regional Secretary Edmond Chan presented an International Office update which included a welcome message by video link from Kreston’s new CEO, Liza Robbins.
Jungiao Yin, Partner of Hunan Jianye CPA’s, a member admitted this year, gave an overview of the firm; Alan Ling from McLean Delmo Bentleys in Australia discussed investment strategies and Tiffany Chiu from Kreston Reeves in the UK presented on Brexit and its implications.
Key Note was Dr Lei Zhou, Managing Director of Shanghai Dragonboat Investment Management Limited who presented “Belt and Road Initiative, Challenge and Opportunity” an interesting insight into the challenges and opportunities of the Chinese development strategy.
The business sessions concluded with individual breakout groups where delegates discussed Managing Partner; Audit, Tax, Valuation and Construction Engineering issues.
