About David Kinkaid 

David is a Managing Director with CBIZ Risk & Advisory Services based in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He has over 25 years of experience in internal audit, finance, and public accounting. For the past 20 years, he has focused on formulating or significantly revamping corporate internal audit functions and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance efforts for a variety of organizations. His experience includes working closely with Executive Management teams, Corporate Boards, and Audit Commitees, and establishing and directing SOX compliance efforts, anti-corruption compliance functions, and internal audit functions in both private and publicly traded organizations.

Since 2021, David has also co-led the firm’s ESG and Sustainability reporting practice. He has been involved with clients in a variety of industries helping them to implement procedures to ensure consistent, complete and accurate reporting of ESG metrics, train personnel in the proper collection and retention of supporting data and prepare for external assurance of their sustainability reports. David also facilitates connecting clients with CBIZ ESG experts to help meet their needs in other areas of their sustainability journey.

David began his career in public accounting with KPMG where his clients included manufacturing, retail, and distribution companies. He then held various internal audit and finance positions for Willbros Group, Inc., a construction contractor providing construction, engineering, and speciality services to entities worldwide; and Dollar Thritiy Automotive Group, Inc., a car rental company. Before joining CBIZ, he was the General Auditor for Vanguard Car Rental USA Inc., a car rental company operating under the “National” and “Alamo” brands.
