About Christina Tsiarta
Christina Tsiarta has over 15 years of professional experience in advisory services in the sustainability sector. An environmental scientist by background, Christina has worked at various sustainability consultancies based in London, UK and Nicosia, Cyprus and since mid-2022 has been the Head of Advisory Services on sustainability, ESG and climate change at Kreston Ioannou & Theodolou (ITH) Ltd.
Over the course of her career, Christina has managed and successfully delivered projects to local municipalities, national government agencies and numerous of the EU Directorates-General, as well as the private sector across borders and industries, to include HORECA, energy, telecommunications, waste, logistics and distribution, banking and finance, auditing and tax advisory, real estate and construction.
The types of projects she has worked on include sustainability/ESG audits involving gap analyses, materiality assessments and stakeholder engagement; development and implementation of strategies on sustainability, ESG and net zero; disclosures and reporting in line with regulatory and licensing requirements (e.g. NFRD/CSRD, SFDR, etc.), as well as with various voluntary frameworks (e.g. revised 2021 GRI standards, UN SDGs, UN PRB, UN PRI, TCFD, etc.); assurance of sustainability reports; operational and technical support on environmental management and resource efficiency (specifically energy, waste and carbon accounting); environmental data analysis, impact assessments and policy reform; and implementation of related standards (i.e. ISO 26000 on social responsibility, ISO 14001 on environmental management systems, ISO 50001 on energy management systems, the EU’s Eco-Management and Audit Scheme (EMAS) and ISO 20212 on sustainable events).
Christina is a PRINCE2TM certified project manager, an experienced certified vocational trainer and executive coach on sustainability and ESG, and holds certifications from the ACCA in sustainability for finance, as well as on implementing various sustainability standards (i.e. the revised 2021 GRI standards, ISO 26000, ISO 14001, EMAS and ISO 20212).
